It is a stormy night, and within the hall of Lord Fenrir of Dar-Koldor, the light of the many fire pits lining the walls caused the shadows of the many wolves standing in the hall dance against the floor and carven pillars of black stone. Tall wolves robed in black pace the length of the hall, and in the center, set upon a dias of many stairs rests a tall throne of black iron.
There, seated tall and terrible, rests the Dark Lord, vile and cruel, Lord Fenrir of Dar-Koldor, robed in black and deep red, his iron crown glimmering in the fire light. Kneeling before the steps is a tawny wolf, a fresh slash wound across his snout. He is clutching his left forearm as if in pain.
Lord Fenrir leaned slightly from his throne and spoke, his deep voice full of scorn.
"You have failed me yet again Grimnar. Three times now you have had the rebel Bowser at your mercy and three times you have failed to kill him."
"M-my Lord, p-please have mercy!" the kneeling wolf stammered in fear.
"The Dark Lord does not tolerate failure Captain!" Fenrir snarled. "He should expect nothing but the best from a sorcerer of your calaber...and yet..." he trailed off, withdrawing from his sleeve a long wand of bone. The kneeling wolf burst into tears.
"Please! My Lord, spare me!"
Yet even as the Dark Lord raised his wand, the fires went out as a cold wind raced through the room. There was a bang just behind the kneeling wolf, an a flash of light and the room smelt of gunpowder and standing there were four foxes, standing awestruck.
The female fox dressed in a magenta and a leather over vest puts her hands on her hips and glares to the fox in blue and gold robes, "This is another fine mess you got us into brother!!" as she cuffs the fox upside the back of the head.
"Sis come on you're the one who reccemended that mage!! I told you we should of went to Mystic University instead but you wanted to hurry."
"Bite me."
The two foxes continued to bicker but the other male looked over at Lord Fenrir. Sensing the wolf's dark nature he rests his hand on the katana that is strapped to his waist.
"Selina...Psyfox...stop arguing...we got company..."
The two stop arguing and look to Fenrir, the other female fox casts a cautious gaze at Fenrir. However it was the swordman fox that stepped forward and knelt beside the frighten kneeled wolf. Seeing the wounds he looks over to the blue robed fox.
"Psyfox this man is injuryed, tend to him."
The blue robed fox nodded as he reached for a crystal from his belt and begins to channel his magic into it. Kneeling beside the wolf, the crystal flares to life as the light from it seeps into the wolf's wounds and begins to close them.
Looking at Lord Fenrir and then around the hall he steps forward, "Um...forgive the intrusion it seems a mage we had hired to open a portal for us somehow messed up and we ended up here. If you can show us the way out we'll leave."
Fenrir merely scowls as he sees the intruders heal his unworthy captain. And yet, all it takes is a nod from him. The kneeling wolf leaps up and like lightning draws forth a wand made from ash wood from its scabbard and points it at his healer. No less than a dozen of the robed wolves do likewise. The wolf Grimnar turns to face Fenrir.
"Grimnar," Lord Fenrir says, standing up. "Please take the liberty of...removing these trespassers from this castle at once."
Grimnar nods but as he turns to face his healer a heavily thorned vine grabs him and throws him againist the far wall. A few more similar vines erupt from the ground as well. The female fox dressed in green and brown robes folds her arms, a slight frown creases her muzzle.
"Threatening to kill or harm a Star Seer is a declaration of war upon the Celestial Order. I advise you reconsider your meathods of removing us," the woman said as withdraws a rose that was hidden in her hair, green energies surround the rose which explodes into growth and turns into a whip of wicked looking thorns.
Psyfox backs up and gets behind the swordman already a different crystal in his hands as the wind begins to pick up, "Look we don't even know where we are. If you let us…WOAH!!" as Psyfox dodged a fireball coming from one f the robed wolves.
The swordsman snarled as he crouched down, "Thats it...." in a flash he was upon one of the wolves, two flashes of light and the wolf was down for the count. Psyfox however focused his attention upon three advancing onto him.
"Stars be merciful...wind blast!" as the crystal he held flared to life and the trio was sent flying into a nearby fire pit, setting their robes on fire, fanned by the lingering breezes.
Two of the wolves rushed the female known as Selina but she only smirked, "Don't rush me boys...ke-YAH!!" her sword was drawn just as fast as the swordsman as she parried one and slipped a spell tag on the other.
"Rune of detination...FIRE!!" the spell tag exploded sending the wolf to the ground his back smoking from the blast as she went into a sword fight with the other, keeping her rune book balanced in the other arm as she fought.
The female with the whip lashed out and took out at two advancing upon her, the vines that had erupted from the castle floor sunk back into the ground and have gathered around her as several fireballs blasted against the thorny shield. Before long the dozen wolves that came running out to aid Grimnar were now out cold or dead. The four foxes now glare at Fenrir as the swordsman stepped forward.
"Like my sister Terina said...care to reconsider your meathods of having use....removed?"
Fenrir merely grinned, his yellowing teeth gleaming in the faint flicker of the dim flames.
"Captain! Leave us. I wish to teach these intruders a lesson in humility."
Grimnar sprang to his feet and in an instant vanished in what seemed to be a burst of smoke. Fenrir took a couple steps down the stairs of his throne.
"You were clever, foxes, to somehow slip through my protective wards, yet not so clever to surrender. I am afraid it will cost you."
And with a quick motion, there was a flash and a bang. The swordsman Reshio has been thrown back and skidded across the polished floor. Fenrir's wand flicked again and the fires in the pit roared to life, and another almost lazy wave and the flames grew, twisted, and mutated into the monstrous forms of dragons, serpents, and chimera, towering and terrible as they loomed above the foxes, ready to strike, guarding their creator from harm.

Reshio got up, the runes that augmented his clothes glowed softly before disapaiting as Terina helped him up.
Psyfox looked at Fenrir, a look of confusion on his face, "Sir we're being honest, we don't-"
"Brother..ngh...forget it he won't listen," as Reshio shrugged off the blow and readied his sword.
"Fire constructs...this is too easy. You'll have to better then that sir, fire ward!" and with two quick motions of her fingers lines of energy formed a glyph which shattered into four copies then imbued themselves upon the chests of the four foxes.
Reshio rushed forward, his sites set upon the dragon construct as he leapt going for a over head slash. Just as he came down Selina gave a cocky grin, "Weapon rune activate!! LIQUID ICE!!" a glyph that was enblazed on the katana flares to life as liquid ice flies off it as the blade bares down upon the dragon construct. The dragon construct shuddered as the ice polluted it body and was reduced to nothing more then wet ash.
Psyfox turned to the snakes as he shuffled back a bit, "Man snakes....why me...I HATE SNAKES!!" He looks at the throne and his eyes widen a bit. "I wonder..."
Terina and Selina turned their attention upon the chimera constructs, "Crud..I wish I was stronger in the element part of my training...ngh...Tidal shield!!" as a curtain of water surrounded Selina as she dashed into the mass of constructs, placing spell tags on each. Before the water could evaporate away she snapped her fingers. "Deconstruct." The constructs let out a sharp shrill as the tags activated and shattered the magical bindings holding them.
"EEE-YAH!!" as lightning leapt from Psyfox's crystal and launched itself, straight at the Iron Throne!!
Fenrir grinned. The fools were powerful, but there is no force in the Wolf Lands powerful enough to withstand him, for he was Fenrir!
The lightning bolt smote his iron throne and it shattered into hundreds of razor sharp fragments. The fragments bit into the snakes which promptly died due to the electrically charged shrapnel.
The Dark Lord laughed, grabbing his cloak and with a whirl vanished and appeared instantly behind the fox Reshio. With a quick wave of his hand, the fox's blade leaped from his grasp and before the fox could dive to retrieve it, the Dark Lord had his wand pointed square at his chest and hissed "Crucio!"
It seemed at once that a hundred white hot knives were suddenly pressed into Reshio's body, and while there was no physical injury, the pain was excruciating at its best. Reshio doubled over in pain, screaming. He curled up as if to shelter his body from the pain, his clothes began to flare to life as runes tried to counter the spell but they weren't strong enough to do the job alone.
"Brother!! You monster!" Selina had clapped her book closed and was running striaght for Fenrir. Terina had vanished, a hole in the ground was at the place of where she once was. Not knowing where the enemy was, that is never good. Suddenly Fenrir noticed his feet were grabbed from below, Terina's hands had erupted from the ground and now held him in place as Selina rushed, sword drawn and runes flaring to life from its gleaming surface, only surpassed by her apparent anger.
Meanwhile Psyfox had pulled Reshio behind a pillar and looked him over.
"Hold on brother, I got you...by the light of the her star...and by my will be cleansed.." as a light green crystal glowed softly enveloped Reshio in its light, attempting to break whatever magical infliction had befallen him. Knowing it would take time to break the Psyfox set out to retrieve his brother's sword. He found it quickly by the light of the rune that was still active on it. He only hoped Fenrir didn't notice him while Terina and Selina attacked him.
Fenrir snarled, his wand blazing and lightning crackling at his feet. Terina hissed in pain and let go. -Something is wrong...he's way too confident...- she thought.
Spell after spell he sent at his opponents, dodged or blocked in turn. He was becoming very annoyed. No one had survived this long against the Dark Lord.
"Looks like I need to even the playing field," he hissed and with another twirl was gone, appearing behind Selina, wand pointed directly at her back as he roared "Imperio!"
Suddenly the vixen went limp briefly before regaining herself, but she didn't feel...normal. It was the most wonderful feeling. She felt a floating sensation as every thought and worry in her head was wiped gently away, leaving nothing but a vague, untraceable happiness. She stood there feeling immensely relaxed, only dimly aware of her companion watching her. She then heard a soft whisper Terina is your enemy, not I.
Selina turned to her sister, with Fenrir behind, his crooked teeth bared in some twisted smile, holding his wand towards her as a puppeteer holds the strings of a marionette.
Terina saw her sister now under Fenrir's control her eyes narrowed. Terina knew that Psyfox was busy helping Reshio, thus only making Selina the only one capable of breaking a mind control.
Calming herself, -Alright...Selina is a wild one, most likly taking a good chunk of his concentration to restrain her.-
Selina went after her, swinging her sword much more effectivly then she was known for. Terina blocked and parried with lashes of the her whip but was losing ground.
"This is not good. gee-yah!" and spun around, the end of the whip nicking Selina's hand with a poison tipped thorn. Selina crumpled down in a heap unable to move but alive. "Whew...the paralizing poison worked. No harm done."
But Terina knew they were now down two and they have yet to inflict any damage to Fenrir.
Psyfox heart was torn seeing his two sisters forced to fight each other but he knew it was also the perfect distraction while he made his way to Reshio's sword. Carefully trying not to make too much noise had gripped the hilt and slowly picked it up. He quietly carried it to his brother and slid it back into its sheath.
"Hang tight I have to help our sisters."
Fenrir laughed.
"A duelist!" he cackled. "I shall enjoy this greatly!" And with breathtaking speed his hand was wrapped around the hilt of his sword as it was ripped forth from its scabbard.
"Your move vixen!" he hissed as he held a defensive stance.
She only nodded, bringing her whip before her face in a sharp motion as in acceptance to the duel, her left hand behind her back. She lashes out from where she stood, the whip suddenly grew to meet the Dark Lord head on, which was about fifteen paces away. The length of the whip, covered in thorns which carried the same threat of the poison.
"The sinokita plant...tell me you know of it sir?" as she maintained her assualt.
"Alas, I do not, however..." he trailed off as he ducked under a blow and thrust his sword into the path of the whip, causing it to wrap around his blade. "...it is just another plant!"
Without warning, there was a flash of light and flames erupted from his sword, dancing along the length of his blade and consuming the vines wrapped around it.
She cocked a brow at the blade, "Enchanted, no runes...pathetic," this cuased a lock of hair to stick out of Lord Fenrir as his right eye twitched, "But you did confirm one thing for me. My sibblings and I are not in our world, but a whole knew dimension. For you see..."
As she is talking flowers begin to sprout from the cracks in the floor, "The Sinokita plant is a beautiful flowering plant. But more well know for..." then one of the flowers hissed revealing dripping acid that ate into the floor, "…a habit for spitting highly corrosive acid." The flowers then turned to Fenrir, the acid dripping from the blossoms.
Fenrir paused, and tilted his head like a child in wonder, his mouth twisting into a hideous smile. He slowly lowered his sword hand, and with his other, seemed like he was commanding the flowering plant. It twisted and writhed for a little while, almost as a cat wraps around its master's legs, before hissing and Fenrir was covered in a spray of acid, cackling. But he stepped from the spray, his robes melting and his fur singed, but whole. He slowly returned his sword to its scabbard as his robes began knitting themselves back together, smiling towards the awestruck Terina.
"You are all fools. I have enjoyed playing games, but have grown weary of them. It is time to meet your fate..."
Like lightning his long wand was in his paw, with a bang the corrosive plant vanished in a puff of flame, and Fenrir flicked it a second time, and Terina was bound in chains of iron. He was at once at her back, and turned to her companions, the tip of his wand resting under her chin.
"Hold!" he bellowed and the room went silent.
Terina was shocked, the acid from the plant should of melted Fenrir but he was standing before her unharmed. Her calmness gave way to fear now, realizing something now.
"Your....your immortal..."
Fenrir's became even more sinister as he lifted her chin with his wand, "Make you peace now with the world. Your life ends here."
"Hands off my sister!! You arrogent fleabag!!" as Fenrir turned to the voice, Psyfox was already upon him, a dark almost pitch black crystal in his hand, "Take this!! Burden of Sin!!" and slammed a glowing palm into Fenrir's chest with his free hand.
The spell began its effect almost at once. For a second the death-like ash of the Dark Lord's eyes flickered in shock as his past sins flooded into his mind. His grip on Terina loosened, and the chains that bound her slackened which she promptly squirmed free of. But even as Psyfox smiled in victory, the light fled Fenrir's eyes and it seemed that even as Psyfox withdrew his hand, Fenrir seemed to melt into a stream of smoke that fled into the expended crystal within the fox's hand.
All was still for a brief moment, and then Psyfox felt agonizing pain, but it was beyond physical, as if he was bound in the coils of a giant sepulchral serpent. He fell to the ground, writhing, his worst memories flooding to the front, and as his sister looked into his eyes she saw the ashen eyes of Fenrir, and when Psyfox spoke she heard the Dark Lord's cruel voice.
"You've lost!"
Terina fell to her knees crying, "Brother...." They lost, and now…they would all die or become mind slaves. They would never return home, which was all they wanted.
But her attention then shifted to the area behind the possesed Psyfox as a shaft of light slammed into the floor. The sounds of footsteps were heard as a human female stepped out. She was beautiful beyond words, flowing white robes adorned with presious stones and crystals. A thick leather belt wrapped around her waist holding several crystals similar to Psyfox's belt. She took one look at Psyfox and scowled.
"Release!!" the voice came from her but her lips never moved as pure white crystal flew from her waist and slammed its energy into Psyfox forcing Fenrir out of him. Fenrir skidded on his back on the floor a ways. As he got up he glared at the woman, how dare she attack the Dark Lord.
"You have attacked a member of the Celestial Order...MY ORDER!!" her face now contorted with rage. A wind blast sent the wolf toppling head over heels as a different crystal rested in her hand.
"Grand Celestrine!! Careful he is immortal!!" shouted Terina.
The woman turned to Terina and nodded as she then reverted her attention to Fenrir, her gaze more determined then ever, the white crystal floated back to her waist as her hand dipped into a small side pouch.
Psyfox groaned as he came to and saw The Grand Celestrine beside him but when her hand reached into the pouch…
"Oh no...TERINA TO ME SHE PLANS TO USE IT!!" screamed Psyfox. Terina wasted no time and ran to her brother, dragging Selina with her.
She withdraws a crystal that seems to be in the shape of a tear, a clear sky blue hue with a soft glow. She lifted it in Lord Fenir's direction and instantly it turned to a twisted black. She closed her eyes, "You poor sad soul..."
"Silance fool!" as Fenrir vanished and was instantly behind her. But as he touched her back with his wand, the crystal in the woman's other hand flared to life. Fenrir was sent flying back by a blast of wind and into a piller.
"You are the fool. You put all your faith into you immortality. Its about time someone put the fear of death back into you!!" as she chastised and lifted the tear-shaped crystal. Fenrir struggled to get up, but the impact on the piller had been more devestating then he had thought. The crystal then flared violently as tendrils reached out from within and then wrapped around Fenrir. Fenrir only grinned as they lifted him into the air.
"You can't kill me. I'm the Dark Lord!! I'm immort-"
"You are NOTHING WITHOUT YOUR SOUL TO SUPPORT YOU!! AND I WILL RIP IT OUT OF YOUR BODY!!"
The tendrils then slammed into Fenrir's chest, the woman's hand outstretched that held the crystal acted as if she was reaching into a bag. Her hand then acted as if it closed around something and then she began to pull back.
Fenrir then felt his life being drained from him. Looking down he, his eyes widened in abject terror. There before him, the tendrils were struggling with a white essence as they tried to pulled it out of his chest. Fenrir realized that this white essence was his soul, and it was being pulled out of his body. Calling upon his magic he began to try and pull it back in, a sick game of tug-a-war began.
Just as Fenrir thought he was going to lose. A female wolf spirit and young wolf pup appeared before the woman. They looked at her with pleading eyes, saying nothing. The woman nodded to them and she dropped Fenrir. She put the crystal away and walked up to the Dark Lord, who now scrambled to get away from her.
The woman looked to the four foxes and nodded to the portal, "Go my childern, Psyfox make sure you get your brother."
"Yes Grand Celestrine," and Psyfox quickly retrieved Reshio and entered the shafted of light with his sister. Once they were safely away the woman turned to Fenrir.
"You now know there are those who can kill immortals. You were lucky. That was your wife and child, who saved your pathetic excuse for a life. They asked me not to kill you and I will respect the dead's wishes."
She then grabbed Fenrir by his collar and pulled him close, the sweet scent of her perfume flooded into his nose. This time her lips moved as she whispered into his ear....
"I'll be watching you...and if I see you attack another member of my order...you soul will be judged."
With that she let him go and disappeared into the shaft of light, her words continued to echo inside Fenrir's head. He looked around, his grand hall now in ruins, his throne destroyed, his body and soul violated. He knew he won, but….was it a true victory?
